While sitting at a new cafe that opened up downtown, I began thinking about a recent post from a man I much respect, Chris Guillebeau, who operates one of my favorite inspiring blogs, The Art of Non Conformity. He’s a travel writer that refuses to conform to what society has dictated that we do in life and helps other people become non conformists. Now while this sounds political, it’s not. He blatantly tells you “If you’re dissatisfied with conventional beliefs and want to do something remarkable with your life, I’d love to welcome you to the revolution.” Enough said.

This is where I first discovered his post “Why you should quit your job and travel around the world“, and I happened to share it on Facebook. My boss is on Facebook. He saw it…and jokingly said, “Should I be worried?” Great article, you should definitely read it.

But what I was thinking about in the café was a recent post where Chris asks you to answer the two most important questions in the universe:

1. What do you really want to get out of this life?

2. What can you offer the world that no one else can?

Really think about these…see if you can answer them and where it leads you. I did and shared it with my closest family. Not quite ready to post it, but I will soon. Feel free to post your own answers, I would love to hear!

  1. Alex! You inspired me… so I started a blog. Well I had one on but this site is so much cooler. Thank you! Miss you!

  2. Hi Alexandria
How are you? I read your blog today. I want to answer those two questions so bad but I do not know the answers yet. Thanks you for posting this very important topic, I am going to be working on it. Take care, Landon

  3. @Angela, thanks Angie! Glad I inspired you, I read your blog and love it, keep it up!

@Landon, I’m doing great (as you can read!) and glad you are here to read my blog and like it. Those questions really are so simple, yet so complex, it always amazes me how that can be so. Think about it and post them. I’ve found that once you write them down, and see them, you have no excuse to not honor them : )
