“To get what we’ve never had, we must do what we’ve never done.” – unknown

While looking at this photo this morning I started thinking about how hard it may be for us to think in terms that are not normal to our everyday thinking. You may look at this and think it’s upside down, or possibly sideways. Or you may say, Alexandria, there is not a sky in your tree branch…that is your tree branch in the sky!

But the way I see it, you can choose to look at it any way you want. Who says the right way to think is that there is a branch in the sky? Tell me who? Give me a name? Socialization maybe? Ah ha!

Just remember, our brains constantly think along the same paths and ruts every day, making you think the same way, about the same things….all the time.

So wake up…think about things differently. Take one thing today, one normal everyday thing you see or hear or think about…and think about it in a different way. Get your brain to use a new path and develop your own ways of thinking. Need a boost? Grab a children’s book and read this.
